Job summary

Adani Group is seeking an experienced CHP commissioning and operations engineer to lead commissioning planning and execution for major power plant projects in India. The role involves supervising mechanical, electrical, and control system tests, analyzing data to drive performance improvements, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. You will coordinate with design teams, contractors, and vendors, and contribute to handover and training of operations personnel.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commissioning and operation experience in power/energy.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering (power engineering).

Responsibilities

• Commissioning Planning and Execution: Develop detailed commissioning plans and schedules in coordination with project management and engineering teams to ensure timely completion of CHP commissioning milestones.
• Technical Supervision: Oversee mechanical, electrical, and control system testing to validate the integrity, safety, and performance of CHP equipment including boilers, turbines, generators, and auxiliary systems.
• Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Analyze commissioning data to identify issues, implement corrective actions, and optimize system performance to achieve operational efficiency targets.
• Coordination and Communication: Act as a liaison between design engineers, contractors, vendors, and internal teams to facilitate problem resolution and ensure smooth commissioning progress.
• Safety and Compliance: Enforce Adani’s stringent safety protocols and environmental regulations throughout all commissioning activities to maintain a safe working environment.
• Documentation and Reporting: Prepare comprehensive commissioning reports, technical documentation, and performance records for regulatory compliance and future reference.
• Training and Development: Support the training of operations personnel on new CHP systems and procedures to guarantee seamless handover and sustained operational reliability.
• Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify process improvements and implement best practices in commissioning methodologies consistent with Adani’s culture of innovation and excellence.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with various stakeholders including vendors, consultants, and internal departments to ensure alignment with project goals and company standards.

Qualifications

Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in commissioning and operation within the power/energy sector, specifically in CHP plants, thermal power stations, or equivalent.

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering or a related field from a recognized university
