Sulzer Pumps India Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an Operations / Manufacturing / Production Supervisor to oversee daily maintenance and production activities.

The role focuses on guiding a multi-skilled team, ensuring safety, quality and adherence to schedules while driving improvements in equipment reliability and performance. The ideal candidate will manage reactive and proactive maintenance, coordinate with shift teams, and implement improvements to reduce downtime and improve KPIs across the site.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lead and supervise professional staff and coordinate maintenance activities.
• Strong focus on safety, quality and adherence to schedules.
• Experience in managing multi-disciplinary engineering teams is desirable.

Job Summary

The Operations / Manufacturing / Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production or service center activities, ensuring that processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. This role supervises professional-level staff and ensures adherence to quality standards and production or service schedules. This job profile is intended for People Managers of 4+ professional-level roles.

Job purpose

Lead the site Maintenance function in providing both a reactive and proactive, multi-skilled maintenance service on all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure. Responsible for planned schedule creation and overseeing the adherence and timely completion of work carried out. Increase the site operational effectiveness, improve on project delivery, mean time between failure and downtime reduction, and manage and implement improvement plans, driving Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) ensuring that Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to. Manage the team on technical best practice.

Main accountabilities and tasks

• Effectively delegate any maintenance issues to be resolved on each shift and small projects to the right skills in the team, planning and managing effective works
• Manage the team to ensure machine availability, reactively managing dysfunctional machinery with the Shift management
• Ensure routine calibration and maintenance requirements of a variety of electro-mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems are undertaken
• Manage the process of the introduction of new machinery, plant and equipment from drawing up the specification, to managing suppliers through to full installation in collaboration with all relevant parties
• Manage contractors on site to ensure they meet legal and company requirements
• Ensure that Maintenance function operates in accordance with site health, safety and environmentally policies and procedures to ensure the safety of staff and visitors
