Job summary

Amazon is seeking an experienced Licenses & Permits Manager – Real Estate to support licensing activities across India, stationed in Mumbai. This role will coordinate with cross‑functional teams to obtain and renew licenses for Amazon facilities while ensuring compliance and timely approvals.

The successful candidate will work with Legal, Launch, Facility & WHS teams, manage MSAs with vendors, and travel across India as needed to support amazon's extensive network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Electrical/Mechanical/Engineering Technology or Reliability Engineering).
• 2+ years of Amazon experience acceptable as alternative qualification.

Responsibilities

• Support India team for obtaining and renewing building Licenses & Permits for Amazon India Warehouse/facilities.
• Obtain requisite Licenses and Permits for operating existing and new facilities.
• Monitor legal compliance in the company’s regions of work and support non‑compliance resolution.
• Collaborate with Legal, Launch, Facility & WHS Team for obtaining all business licenses for new facilities.
• Work with facility & procurement teams to renew licenses and prepare MSAs for vendors.

Job description

Amazon is currently looking to hire an experienced Licenses & Permit Manager – Real Estate to join the team and play a critical role in supporting all L&P activities across Amazon's India Network. This role will be based in Mumbai. Regular Pan‑India travel will be required and this role reports to the Manager Licenses & Permits in Gurugram.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the India team for obtaining and renewing building Licenses & Permits for Amazon India Warehouse/facilities.
• Obtain requisite Licenses and Permits required for operating existing and new business facilities.
• Monitor legal compliance in the Company’s regions of work in the international domain and provide support in resolving non‑compliance.
• Work hand in hand with Legal, Launch, Facility & WHS Team for obtaining all business licenses for new facilities.
• Work closely with the facility & procurement team in renewing existing licenses and preparing MSA’s for vendors.

Basic Qualifications

• 4+ years of industrial maintenance experience
• 2+ years of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) experience
• 2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Reliability Engineering, or 2+ years of Amazon RME (BB/3P) Full Time experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon experience
• Work flexible schedules including weekends, nights, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree, or Six Sigma Black Belt certification
• Experience working with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) integrators
• Experience maintaining material handling equipment and integrated systems
• Experience in project management
• Experience with statistical analysis
