Job summary

GMR Group is seeking a seasoned Manager-Landscape to oversee greenery maintenance around the Passenger Terminal Building at IGIA. You will implement maintenance plans, ensure safety and environmental compliance, and drive continuous improvements in landscape practices and resource use.

The role involves budgeting, project coordination, and collaboration with internal teams and external vendors to deliver high-quality, sustainable landscape solutions for airport premises.

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of experience in landscape development and maintenance.
At least 5 years’ field experience on large-scale landscape projects.

Responsibilities

Landscape & horticulture management: maintain greenery inside and around passenger terminal buildings and auxiliary structures.
Project management: assist planning, design and execution; manage budgets, BOQs, scope of work and reporting.
AOP development & cost management: assist in preparing annual plans and monitor expenditures for cost-saving opportunities.
Compliance & reporting: ensure safety and environmental standards are followed; prepare monthly MIS reports.

Job Purpose

The Manager-Landscape is responsible for maintenance of greenery at Passenger Terminal Building for enhancement of ambience and environment which contributes to better passenger experience at IGIA. The role ensures the effective implementation of maintenance plans and compliance with safety and environmental standards while driving continuous improvement in landscape practices and resource optimization.

Key Accountabilities

Landscape & Horticulture Management

Plan and execute high-quality landscape maintenance inside and around the Passenger Terminal buildings and auxiliary building across the Airport premises.
Monitor scheduled horticulture practices for indoor plantation including replacement of deteriorated indoor potted plants
Season-wise aesthetic display and maintenance of seasonal flower potted plants at strategic locations and creation of theme-based garden at Terminal buildings during various festivals.
Drive innovation and creativity in landscape works by adopting new technologies, sustainable practices, and modern design solution to enhance the quality, efficiency and visual appeal.

Project Management

Assist in planning, design, and execution landscape enhancement projects.
Support with finalizing budget, BOQs, scope of work, and prepare reports for approval from senior management.
Monitor project quality, address deficiencies, and coordinate corrective actions.

AOP Development & Cost Management

Support in preparing the AOP considering the equipment and maintenance needs and anticipated improvement projects.
Review maintenance expenditure and identify areas for cost-saving.

Education Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture / Horticulture/ Landscape Architecture required. A Master’s degree in Horticulture / Floriculture/Landscape Architecture will be considered an advantage.

Relevant Experience

Minimum 10 years of experience in landscape development and maintenance work including nursery & indoor plants management with at least 5 years’ field experience of large-scale landscape project.
