Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate private, government, revenue and forest land as per project requirements.
• Handle end-to-end land acquisition/procurement, including negotiations, documentation, registration and possession.
• Liaise with Patwari, Tehsildar, SDM, Collector, Revenue & Forest Departments and other government authorities.
• Coordinate land surveys, demarcation, mutation, land records, title/encumbrance verification and registration.
• Manage land-related statutory compliances, government approvals and Forest/R&R requirements, wherever applicable.
• Handle Rehabilitation & Resettlement (R&R) matters and coordinate with Project Affected Families, villagers and local leaders.
• Resolve land-related issues, disputes and local stakeholder concerns in coordination with Legal/Project teams.
• Maintain land records, agreements, approvals and prepare MIS/status reports for management.
• Support project teams in ensuring timely availability and possession of required land.

Qualification & Experience

• Graduate/Post Graduate with 5- 8 years of relevant experience in Land Acquisition, Land Procurement, Land Liaisoning, R&R or related functions.
• Experience in Mining / Minerals / Infrastructure / Power / Real Estate will be preferred.
• Strong practical knowledge of land records, revenue procedures, registration, mutation and government liaisoning.
• Knowledge of applicable Land Acquisition, R&R and Forest-related laws/regulations.
• Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, communication and documentation skills.
• Willingness to travel to project locations as required.

Preferred: Candidates with hands-on experience in land acquisition for mining/mineral projects will be given preference in Coal organization or similar only.
