Job summary

BITSoM - BITS School of Management is seeking a Manager – Business Development, Industry Partnership & Career Services to drive strategic planning with the Head of Industry Partnerships and Career Services. You will build relationships with students, faculty, alumni, and industry professionals and lead career services, internships, and placement initiatives across the South India region.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a strategic plan in collaboration with the Head of Industry Partnership and Career Services.
• Build professional relationships with students, faculty, staff, alumni and industry professionals.
• Provide direction and goals for job placement, career development, internships, and career planning.
• Collaborate with Programs office and faculty to align career activities.
• Manage the South region (South India) as Regional Manager.
• Lead employer outreach for MBA program in Mumbai/Western India.
• Maintain employer relations and serve as contact for industry partners.
• Maintain employer database for internships and full- and part-time positions.
• Engage with industry to source Corporate Live Projects for students.
• Support Talent partners and students in L&D activities.
• Plan events to facilitate student-employer interactions.
• Provide on-ground inputs to improve Industry–Academia engagements.

Job Title - Manager – Business Development, Industry Partnership & Career Services

Job Responsibilities*

• Develop and implement a strategic plan in close collaboration with the Head of Industry Partnership and Career Services
• Develop professional relationships with students, faculty, staff, alumni and industry professionals
• Provide direction, programming, and goals that strategically integrate all aspects of job placement, career development, career exploration, internships, and career planning
• Work in collaboration with Programs office, faculty to ensure career activities are aligned
• Manage the designated territory of South region, India as a Regional Manager.
• Conduct targeted employer outreach for MBA program in designated territory (Mumbai / Western India)
• Develop and maintain employer relations and serve as a contact for industry partners and prospective employers
• Maintain employer database for internships and full- and part-time positions
• Engage with industry for sourcing Corporate Live Projects for students
• Support the Process / L&D team members in their workings with Talent partners and students.
• Plan and implement events to facilitate student interactions with employers and industry professionals
• Provide on-ground inputs in your designated territory to the Management, to improve the overall Industry – Academia engagements

Preferred Qualifications

• Postgraduate degree from a premium institution
• Proven work experience of 8-11 years or more in a similar capacity in providing career services / career counseling support in a higher education sector.
• Proficient in handling and managing communication effectively with different stakeholders in an international work environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills with good command in spoken and written English language
• Possess a growth mindset and have the ability to be adaptable and resilient
• Resourceful and Collaborative
• Knowledge of the local market / language will be a plus
