Job summary

Zetwerk is seeking an HR Generalist in Bengaluru to manage HR operations across multi-site projects. The role focuses on payroll basics, wage compliances, employee relations, and KPI-driven HR processes, with travel to project sites as needed.

The ideal candidate will have experience in EPC/construction contexts, strong Excel reporting skills, and the ability to engage with staff and workers at sites. Prior Start-up/MSME HRBP exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in EPC / Construction / Transmission / Power industry is required.
• Strong ability to connect and engage with site employees (Staff + Worker).
• Basic understanding of worker wages, payroll basics, and salary-related compliances (PF, ESIC, PT, Gratuity, TDS).
• Knowledge of site-based labour licenses, BOCW, ISMW laws.
• Experience leading a team of at least 2 members.
• Willingness to travel to project/site locations as required.

Role & responsibilities

Must Haves:

• Experience in EPC / Construction / Transmission / Power industry


• Strong ability to connect and engage with site employees (Staff +Worker)

• Good working knowledge of MS Excel (reports, trackers, basic analysis)


• Knowledge of Performance Management systems (KPI / appraisal processes)


• Understanding of disciplinary procedures & grievance handling


• Experience in cost optimization across HO and project sites


• Experience leading a team of minimum 2 members


• Willingness to travel to project / site locations as required


• Plus Point if - Have previously worked in either Start Up / MSME where have handled HR Generalist / HRBP Profile

Good to Have:

• Experience working in a multi-project / multi-location organization


• End-to-end HR Operations knowledge (joining to exit)


• Negotiation skills with local consultants / vendors/ employees


• Understanding of technical hiring (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, QA/QC, HSE roles)


• Basic understanding of Compensation structures & metrics (Mean, Median, Mode, Compa-ratio)


• Experience in attrition analysis and retention initiatives

Bonus / Preferred Requirements:

• Awareness and involvement in site engagement activities (employee connect programs)


• Ability to fine-tune Business KPIs / OKRs aligned with HR processes


• Experience supporting or leading restructuring / change management whenever required


• Hands-on knowledge of HRIS systems (attendance, payroll, employee lifecycle)


• Understanding of Training needs at site for Key personnels
