Job summary

Lam Research in Bengaluru, India, invites a seasoned Global Trade Manager to lead a high-performing team and drive compliance across import/export regulations. You will liaise with Logistics, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal and external partners to manage risks and deliver KPI-driven results.

You will guide strategic projects, digital transformation, and governance to meet SLA and quality targets, while promoting an inclusive, empowering culture.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in Global Trade or Trade Compliance in a global environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, International Business or supply chain; MBA preferred.
• Advanced certification in Trade Compliance, Customs or International Trade preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing Global Trade team.
• Ensure compliance with global import/export regulations, customs, export controls.
• Oversee HTS/ECCN classification, sanctioned party screening, audits.
• Drive operational excellence via standardization, automation, improvement.
• Partner with Global Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal and external stakeholders.
• Develop KPIs, dashboards, and executive reports.
• Lead strategic projects and digital transformation within Global Trade.
• Drive employee engagement and continuous improvement culture.
• Establish governance to meet SLA, productivity, quality, compliance.
• Experience with various country regulations and FTZ, SEZ, USMCA, KORUS, ASEAN FTA, etc.
• Experience with duty mitigation programs.

What you’ll do

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop a high-performing Global Trade team supporting global operations.
• Ensure compliance with global import/export regulations, customs requirements, export controls, and trade policies.
• Oversee HTS/ECCN classification, sanctioned party screening, trade audits, and customs compliance programs.
• Drive operational excellence through process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Partner with Global Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Finance, Legal, and external stakeholders to manage compliance risks and support business growth.
• Develop KPIs, dashboards, and executive reports to measure performance and compliance outcomes.
• Lead strategic projects, digital transformation initiatives, and organizational growth within the Global Trade function.
• Drive employee engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement culture.
• Establish governance mechanisms to achieve SLA, productivity, quality, and compliance targets.
• Working experience in various countries import/export regulations and Trade operations (FTZ, LMW, FCZ, Bonded factory, Bonded warehouse & SEZ/EOU/STPI) & Free Trade Agreement (USMCA, KORUS, ASEAN FTA etc)
• Working experience in handling various Duty mitigation programs.

Who we’re looking for

• Job Experience: Minimum 15 years working experience in any of the following areas: Global Trade or Trade Compliance & Trade operations in global environment
• Educational: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, International Business or supply chain, or related field. MBA or master’s preferred but not required. Advanced certification in Trade Compliance, Customs, International Trade preferred

'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
