Job summary

The Corporate Institute in Pune is seeking an experienced Manager – Fund Controller to oversee fund accounting, NAV reviews and investor reporting for Private Equity and Private Credit funds. This role requires strong expertise in complex fund structures and stakeholder management in a global asset management setting.

You will lead regulatory reporting, capital activity, and fee calculations, working closely with fund administrators to ensure timely deliverables and process improvements.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of overall experience in fund management or asset management.
• 7+ years in Private Equity, Private Credit, Venture Capital or Alternative Asset Management.
• Qualified CA / ACCA / CPA / CMA or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business.
• Hands-on experience with PE fee calculations, carry, waterfall models, complex financial instruments and financial reporting; knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP and/or Lux GAAP is preferred.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and leadership skills, with advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Review monthly and quarterly NAVs, financial statements, audits, bank reconciliations, fund expenses and other fund accounting deliverables.
• Oversee capital calls, distributions, liquidity, treasury activities, management fees, performance fees and related fund calculations.
• Coordinate with Fund Administrators to ensure accuracy, timeliness, SLA adherence and effective resolution of operational issues.
• Review complex fund structures, valuations, LPAs, side letters and accounting treatments while driving process improvements, controls and operational excellence.

• Qualified CA / ACCA / CPA / CMA or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business, with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Hands-on experience with PE fee calculations, carry, waterfall models, complex financial instruments and financial reporting; knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP and/or Lux GAAP is preferred.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and leadership skills, with advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
