Job summary

Simpliwork in Bangalore is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee center-wise expense management, budgeting, and data analysis. The role demands strong accounting knowledge, advanced data modelling, and the ability to translate numbers into actionable business insights.

You will partner with regional centers and the corporate finance team, using SAP and Excel to automate reporting and present findings to leadership. 5+ years of relevant experience preferred.

Qualifications

Job description

Designation: Manager

Location: Bangalore

Reporting To: Senior Vice President

We are looking for a highly analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive finance professional to oversee center-wise expense management, financial data analysis, and budgeting. In this role, you will dissect complex financial data, identify cost-optimization opportunities, leverage economies of scale, and act as a crucial bridge between regional centers and the corporate finance team. The ideal candidate will possess robust accounting knowledge, advanced data modelling skills, and the ability to translate numbers into actionable business intelligence.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Data Analytics Executive Reporting: Collate, scrub, and analyze raw expense data from various ground-level sites across India. Refine existing data sheets and design dynamic new financial templates to streamline reporting. Transform complex data into visual data-driven insights and has corporate finesse to create presentation decks for Leadership. Actively leverage AI tools and advanced features in MS PowerPoint/Excel to automate data collation and elevate the visual storytelling for Management Review.
  • Financial Governance Cost Optimization: Conduct rigorous Cost Benefit (CB) analyses on existing operational setups, resource deployment, and facility utilities to identify leakages. Act as the primary reviewer for all Budgets, provisioning, accruals, recurring expenses. Highlight variances and recommend cost-rationalization strategies to leadership. Identify leakages, inefficiencies, and areas where costs can be optimized. Analyze procurement and operational data to leverage economies of scale across multiple centers.
  • Corporate Finance Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with the Corporate Finance and Accounts teams to align centre-level data with corporate books. Translate data into high-impact presentations and reports for senior leadership.
  • Systems Compliance: Ensure absolute accuracy in bookkeeping and accounting principles during data compilation. Leverage ERP systems (SAP) and advanced Excel modelling to automate and improve reporting efficiency.
Skillset required:
  • Hands-on experience in finance accounting and business analyst role for facilities operations, within the Managed Office / Coworking / Real Estate sector
  • Advanced MS Excel: Mastery of formulas (VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH), Pivot Tables, Power Query, Macros, and Financial Modelling.
  • ERP Systems: Hands-on experience working with SAP (FICO module preferred) or equivalent Tier-1 ERP software.
  • Presentation Tools: Proficiency in MS PowerPoint to create clean, executive-ready decks.
  • Core Accounting: Strong foundational knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), bookkeeping, provisioning, and corporate finance concepts.
  • AI Literacy: Proven ability to use AI prompt engineering and tools to speed up data analysis and deck creation.
