Job summary

DP World’s Global Service Centre in Navi Mumbai seeks a Manager of Forwarding Finance to oversee end-to-end AP activities, monthly closing, and IFRS/GAAP compliance. You will drive process improvements, coordinate with global stakeholders, and lead a high-volume finance team from the Navi Mumbai base.

The role reports to the Deputy General Manager-Finance-Freight Forwarding and requires strong leadership, data accuracy, and cross-functional collaboration in a dynamic, rotational-shift

Qualifications

• CA/CMA/ACCA/CPA or equivalent is required.
• 3+ years of General Ledger / Record-to-Report experience.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics or similar.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries for accruals, prepayments, allocations, and adjustments.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities.
• Analyse balance sheet and profit & loss accounts and investigate variances.
• Prepare account reconciliations and resolve outstanding issues promptly.
• Ensure IFRS/GAAP compliance and internal controls.
• Support audits with required documentation and explanations.
• Prepare financial reports, schedules, and management reports.
• Monitor fixed assets, depreciation, intercompany transactions, and provisions.
• Collaborate with AP, AR, Tax, Treasury and other finance teams.
• Continuously improve accounting processes and automation initiatives.
• Maintain SOPs and L5 process flows for activities.
• Lead training and capability-building to enhance team skills.

Role Purpose

Responsible for overseeing and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all AP-related activities. This includes managing the end-to-end process for invoice booking, monitoring and maintaining the Invoice Tracker, and driving monthly AP closing activities. The role also involves coordinating with internal stakeholders and vendors to resolve discrepancies, ensuring compliance with financial policies, and supporting process improvements for operational efficiency.

Reporting to: Deputy General Manager-Finance-Freight Forwarding

Key Role Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries for accruals, prepayments, allocations, and adjustments.

Skills & Competencies

Education & Qualifications

• Professional qualification such as CA, CMA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in General Ledger Accounting, Record-to-Report (R2R), or Financial Accounting.
