Job summary

DP World Global Service Centre in Navi Mumbai is seeking a Manager - Forwarding Finance to lead end-to-end AP closing, journal entries, and IFRS/GAAP compliance. The role requires coordinating with internal teams and vendors, driving process improvements, and ensuring timely financial statements.

The position reports to the Deputy General Manager and offers a rotational shift with night coverage, working from the Ghansoli office.

Qualifications

• Qualified CA with post qualification experience of minimum 3+ years of experience in General Ledger Accounting, Record-to-Report (R2R).
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries for accruals, prepayments, allocations, and adjustments.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities.
• Analyse balance sheet and profit & loss accounts and investigate variances.
• Prepare account reconciliations and resolve outstanding issues in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, GAAP, company policies, and internal controls.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
• Prepare financial reports, schedules, and management reports.
• Monitor fixed assets, depreciation, intercompany transactions, and provisions.
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Tax, Treasury, and other finance teams.
• Continuously improve accounting processes and support automation initiatives.
• Maintain and update SOPs and L5 process flows for existing and new activities.
• Lead training and capabilitybuilding initiatives to enhance team skills, business knowledge, and customercentric behaviour.
• Build and strengthen relationships with stakeholders.

Role Purpose:

Responsible for overseeing and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all AP-related activities. This includes managing the end-to-end process for invoice booking, monitoring and maintaining the Invoice Tracker, and driving monthly AP closing activities. The role also involves coordinating with internal stakeholders and vendors to resolve discrepancies, ensuring compliance with financial policies, and supporting process improvements for operational efficiency.
