Role Title: Manager Financial Crime Governance and Reporting
- The role is an integral extension of onshore Group, Business, and Geographic FC teams that of high quality, insightful reporting for obligations as mandated by the RMF and local regulations.
In this role, you will:
Principal Accountabilities and Key Activities
Secretariat responsibilities for informal FC meetings
- Co-ordinate and manage forward agenda planning and oversight
- Review meeting submissions for accuracy, formatting and adherence to standards
- Manage meeting invites, logistics and the collation and distribution of meeting materials
- Utilise Zoom AI, in accordance with HSBC guiderails to assist the production of meeting summaries, minutes and actions
- Track the progress of actions, ensuring robust rationale to justify closure
Preparation and Submission of Risk Maps
- Interrogation and analysis of management information (MI) to identify changes in the risk profiles and support with rationale for any extensions to Return to Appetite (RTA) and changes to the RAG rating
- Review and challenge child risk maps, escalating any changes to RTA dates, RAG ratings or identification of thematic issues and trends
- Prepare high quality draft commentary for CoE risk stewardship / onshore FC review
- Coordinate the timely submission of risk maps in the E-Risk map tool
- Maintain consistency and alignment of issues and content reported content across various FC governance meetings and other reporting activities
Review and Challenge FC related metrics (Board Metrics, Key Risk Indicators and Risk Indicators)
- Review and challenge reports submitted by markets, geographies and businesses to ensure consistency, accuracy and analytical depth
- Ensure supplementary commentary on metrics aligns to the FC MI Commentary guidance
- Collate commentaries from stakeholders if not available on source systems (Helios, Qliksense)
- Identify trends and issues and prepare high quality draft commentary for further review by CoE risk stewardship / onshore FC review
- Promote continuous enhancements in the reporting of FC metrics reporting across the FC CoE.
Support drafting of content for submissions into formal and informal meetings
- Actively engage with stakeholders to ensure that the content consistently meets the required standards i.e., up to date and insightful.
- Utilise AI productivity tools to support articulate and risk focused submissions
Monthly reporting of FC related MI from Risk Steward Oversight activities
- Analyse and report on relevant Risks, Controls, Issues and Actions MI
- Summarise progress and status of remediation of actions
- Collate commentaries from stakeholders if it is not available on source systems (Helios, Qliksense)
- Report the outcomes from the risk steward review and challenge activities
To be successful you will:
Technical & functional skills
- General awareness and understanding of banking fundamentals including products and services offered
- Understanding of FC risk taxonomies (AML, Sanctions, Bribery & Corruption, Fraud and Tax Evasion)
- Knowledge of risk management frameworks and the three lines of deference (3LOD) model.
- Intermediate excel skills (pivot tables and formulas)
- Analytical skills. The ability to interpret risk data, identify trends, highlight anomalies and derive insights.
- Strong written skills, particularly summarizing complex information for senior stakeholders in a variety of different formats (summaries, commentaries and reports)
- AI productivity tools experience
Behavioral & Soft skills
- Excellent organizational skills, with attention to detail and a strong focus on data accuracy and consistency
- Effective stakeholder management - able to coordinate inputs across multiple teams
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deliverables with tight deadlines

Desirable / Added advantage
- Lean six sigma/ Agile experience
- Understanding of Risk & Compliance systems including HELIOS, QlikSense, QlikView
- Exposure to Global or Regional reporting structures with large financial institutions
- Professional certification in financial crime- ACAMS, ICA or equivalent
- Experience of participating in automation or data transformation initiatives
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)
