Job summary

Rubicon Research is seeking a Manager in the Finance department, based in Thane. The role specializes in treasury and insurance functions, ensuring liquidity, risk mitigation and compliance with company policies.

The incumbent will handle cash flow forecasting, bank relations, FX management, and insurance program oversight, reporting to the Asst General Manager. Prior pharma experience is helpful but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Must have a degree in accounting/finance.
• 5–8 years of progressive accounting/treasury experience.
• Experience managing banking relationships, cash flow forecasting and corporate insurance programs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cash flow forecasts and monitor working capital requirements.
• Optimize utilization of banking facilities, credit lines, and other financing arrangements.
• Manage and execute treasury transactions (short-term and long-term).
• Monitor and manage foreign exchange exposures.
• Ensure timely debt servicing, loan compliance and covenant monitoring.
• Maintain relationships with banks, financial institutions and rating agencies.
• Ensure FEMA compliance and related regulatory requirements.
• Handle day-to-day treasury operations.
• Coordinate with auditors, consultants and internal stakeholders for treasury needs.
• Assist with short-term working capital and long-term funding like ECBs, buyers credit, etc.
• Handle FX positions, hedge exposures and FEMA compliance.
• Manage renewal of various insurance policies and evaluate coverage gaps.

About the Role

The role is primarily responsible handling treasury and insurance function (including related compliances).

Job Responsibilities / Deliverables

• Prepare cash flow forecasts and monitor working capital requirements
• Optimize utilization of banking facilities, credit lines, and other financing arrangements.
• Manage and execute treasury transaction (short-term and long-term funding needs).
• Monitor and manage foreign exchange (FX) exposures
• Ensure timely debt servicing, loan compliance, and covenant monitoring.
• Maintain relationships with banks, financial institutions, and rating agencies
• Ensure compliance with FEMA laws
• Handle day to day operations related to treasury
• Coordinate with auditors, consultants and internal stakeholders, etc for treasury requirements.
• Assist with short-term working capital and long term funding like ECBs, buyers credit,etc
• Handle foreign exchange positions, hedge open exposures and ensure FEMA compliance
• Manage timely renewal of various insurance policies
• Evaluate insurance requirements and identify gaps in coverage.
• Coordinate with insurance brokers to negotiate optimal coverage and premiums.
• Manage insurance claims from initiation to settlement
• Maintain insurance records, schedules, and policy documentation.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory insurance requirements

Qualifications & Pre-Requisites

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 58 years of progressive accounting experience,
• Experience in managing banking relationships, cash flow forecasting, and corporate insurance programs.
• Good analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and working knowledge of ERP/accounting systems

Additional notes

The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing routine. Prior exposure to a pharma industry environment will be helpful (not mandatory.
