Job description

Role Summary

This role is responsible for the overall operation of the Extrusion Department, including end-to-end people management, safety of personnel and equipment, and product quality. The focus is on improving productivity by challenging the status quo and implementing best practices on the shop floor.

Responsibilities

• Set goals for the team in line with management objectives.
• Oversee production operations, including raw material requirements, scheduling, and packing material management.
• Develop a high‑performance frontline team that can independently handle shop‑floor activities.
• Coordinate with dispatch, stores, supply‑chain, and purchase teams.
• Prepare daily and monthly MIS reports with analysis.
• Reconcile raw materials and plan monthly production and material requirements.
• Assess new projects and automation requirements to improve productivity and quality.
• Provide technical support to the extrusion line team.
• Maintain safety standards and lead safe work practices, working toward a zero‑incident culture.
• Plan CapEx and OpEx for improvement projects, new machinery acquisition, and build capacity, including business case preparation.
• Support the team to ensure product quality meets required standards.
• Determine quality control standards for new products or changes to existing products.
• Initiate process optimisation and cost‑effective solutions.
• Ensure preventive maintenance of all equipment and machinery.

Qualifications
