Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Manager - EHS in Maharashtra to lead health and safety initiatives on construction projects. You will develop and implement health and safety plans, enforce policies, train staff, monitor compliance, investigate incidents, and recommend improvements while ensuring compliance with legal guidelines.

The role requires 4–7 years of safety management experience, strong reporting and risk assessment skills, and the ability to communicate guidelines to diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain detailed project Safety Plan aligned with the overall project goals.
• Generate Reports highlighting safety observations and actions taken.
• Define Safe Working Area for all workforce at site.
• Develop a detailed site logistic Plan for the project.
• Ensure that safety inductions and processes are followed at site.
• Ensure proper documentation for safety compliance from stakeholders.
• Develop and execute health and safety plans according to legal guidelines.
• Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety.
• Evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and legal adherence.
• Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention.
• Monitor compliance to policies and laws by inspecting employees and operations.
• Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions.
• Investigate accidents to discover causes and handle worker’s compensation claims.
• Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures.
• Report on health and safety awareness, issues and statistics.

• BSc/ safety management or relevant field is preferred
• Valid qualification in occupational health and safety
