Job summary

River is seeking an experienced mechanical engineering professional in India to develop and validate proprietary 2-wheeler mechanical systems. You will lead cross-functional development from concept to SOP, interfacing with design, manufacturing, and suppliers to ensure robust DFM/DFA practices and successful validation programs.

Qualifications

• Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 8–12 years of experience in 2-Wheeler OEM/Automotive sector.
• Strong understanding of 2-wheeler mechanical systems.
• Experience with suspension, brakes, gearbox, mirrors & locksets.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, tolerances.
• Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, DFMEA, GD&T.
• Strong supplier coordination and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and industrialize proprietary mechanical systems for 2-wheeler platforms.
• Work closely with design, manufacturing, and suppliers.
• Lead development from concept to SOP with cross-functional teams.
• Provide DFM/DFA inputs to design teams.
• Translate vehicle requirements into engineering specs and validation plans.
• Coordinate with suppliers and cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, Quality, Purchase, Testing).
• Drive DFMEA, DV/PV validation, and issue resolution during development and production.
• Support supplier trials, tooling readiness, and APQP/PPAP activities.
• Drive localization, cost reduction, and VA/VE initiatives.
• Ensure rapid development and efficient execution.

Key Responsibilities
