Job summary

Metaphor Infotech Mumbai is looking for a Lead to coach a team of credit valuation professionals. The role focuses on valuations of fixed income instruments and delivery of comprehensive reports to clients.

The candidate will manage workflow, drive onshore collaboration, and ensure timely, accurate outputs while leading recruitment and development efforts to strengthen the team’s capabilities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of valuation experience, especially in fixed income valuations.
• Strong financial models and reporting experience.

Job description

Lead and coach a team of Credit valuation professionals

• Manage workflow, delivery, team utilization; act as point of contact for the onshore stakeholders and the office team
• Lead valuations of fixed income and credit instruments (e.g., senior/subordinated debt, secured/unsecured debt, destressed debt, CRE mortgages etc.), demonstrating critical thinking, independent action and ability to move the project forward
• Oversee the end-to-end delivery of valuation reports and client deliverables, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timelines.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with the onshore teams(s) to drive business outcomes for the team
• Complete ownership of business generation, quality execution on projects and people management
• Lead recruitment, learning and development, and performance management for the team

Educational qualifications

• CA / CFA / MBA (Specialization in Finance & Investment Management)

Work experience

• The candidate must have 7+ years of working experience in valuation services especially the valuation of fixed income instruments.

Mandatory technical & functional skills

• Strong experience of working on financial models and reports
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to handle difficult client communication
• Prior experience in project scoping and planning, staffing and leading project teams. Ability to manage multiple projects and handle critical situations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good understanding of the general business, economic environment and strong commercial acumen
• Performance management and coaching/mentoring skills
• Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Bloomberg, Capital IQ and other application and data providers

Preferred technical & functional skills

• Fundamental understanding related to valuation of wide variety of debt instruments
• Strong knowledge of relevant respective local GAAP or IFRS standards
