Eightfold is seeking a Manager, Customer Engineering to lead a team of Forward Deployed Engineers and oversee a portfolio of strategic enterprise accounts in a hybrid setup. You will mentor engineers, engage with top customers, and ensure measurable value from our AI-powered platform.

You will act as the escalation point for complex challenges, align on ownership, and drive CVSS and account health across the portfolio while balancing team coverage and workload in a fast-growing environment.

• Drive outcomes: Ensure customers realize measurable value from our platform and proactively address account risks.
• Be the escalation point: Bring technical judgment and leadership to complex customer and account challenges.
• Own the number: Drive portfolio-level Customer Value & Sentiment Score (CVSS) and overall account health.
• Balance the team: Ensure the right coverage, workload, and ownership across the portfolio.

Manager, Customer Engineering A player-coach leadership role managing a team of Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs) and owning customer outcomes across a portfolio of strategic enterprise accounts.

What You'll Do

• Own customers: Oversee ~15 strategic accounts and personally engage with the highest-impact relationships.
• Drive outcomes: Ensure customers realize measurable value from our platform and proactively address account risks.
• Be the escalation point: Bring technical judgment and leadership to complex customer and account challenges.
• Own the number: Drive portfolio-level Customer Value & Sentiment Score (CVSS) and overall account health.
• Balance the team: Ensure the right coverage, workload, and ownership across the portfolio.

What We're Looking For

• Experience managing or mentoring technical, customer-facing engineers.
• Strong track record working with complex enterprise customers and engineering leaders.
• Technical depth combined with strong customer and business judgment.
• Comfortable operating with data, ambiguity, and high ownership.
• Experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Customer Engineer , or similar role is a strong plus.
• Passion for building high-performing teams and developing people.
