Job summary

CohnReznick is seeking a Manager CRE to join the Assurance team in our National Assurance practice. You will lead high-quality audit and assurance work for clients in the Finance sector and collaborate with internal teams to deliver insights that drive business performance.

This hybrid role encourages in-person collaboration about 3 days a week, with opportunities to mentor staff and manage engagements from planning through delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of public accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP/GAAS.
• Proven leadership and mentoring skills with client service focus.

Responsibilities

• Drive client engagements
• Review and prepare financial statements, footnotes, and workpapers
• Provide constructive client operations improvements
• Analyze transactions, research issues, and coordinate with managers

• Perform audits per firm standards with timely delivery

We currently have an exciting career opportunity for Manager to join the Assurance CRE Team in our National Assurance practice.

CohnReznick is a hybrid firm and most of our professionals are located within a commutable distance to one of our offices. This position is considered hybrid which means team members are expected to be thoughtful and intentional in how they create opportunities for in-person collaboration. While the cadence of in-office presence is determined at the team level, our professionals are encouraged to be in the office/together in person on average 3 days a week.

YOUR TEAM

This position will support our Assurance – Manager CRE and as an Audit Industry CRE Manager, you will be part of a dynamic team delivering high-quality audit and assurance services to clients in the Finance sectors. You will work closely with clients and internal teams to understand industry-specific challenges and provide actionable insights that drive business performance.

Responsibilities

• Drive client engagements
• Review and prepare financial statements, footnotes & workpapers
• Demonstrate professional creativity in dealing with client matters and make constructive suggestions to improve client operations
• Effectively analyze client transactions, recognizing potential or existing problems, conducts appropriate research, and works closely with managers on resolving the issue
• Understand the purpose of accounting and general ledger recording procedures
• Perform auditing procedures in accordance with firm standards and in an accurate, thorough and timely manner, including proposing journal entries to client general ledgers
• Serve as the Engagement Lead on specific client accounts, taking responsibility for pre-engagement planning, execution, and final deliverable
• Develop a detailed engagement work plan, illustrating budgets and schedules
• Monitor project status against the work plan and communicate schedule adjustments to managers and/or partners
• Oversee, mentor, and develop staff
• Develop a professional relationship with the client and serve as the primary point-of-contact

YOUR EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years of work experience in another public accounting firm
• Exceptional analytical, technical, and auditing skills including knowledge in US GAAP and GAAS
• Exceptional client service and communication skills and strong leadership and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent written interpersonal, and presentation skills
• Demonstrates an entrepreneurial spirit
• Computer expertise including knowledge of audit-preparation software and an understanding of the impact of technology
• Proven technical skills with MS Office applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook; audit software - CCH Engagement experience
• Exceptional organizational and communication (verbal and written) skills
