Job summary

Amgen India is seeking a Manager, Corporate Affairs to lead internal and external communications, content creation, and campaigns that highlight Amgen's culture, innovation and business impact.

You will work with cross-functional teams, manage social media channels, newsletters, intranet content, and events, and help amplify Amgen India's narrative.

A background in journalism or mass communications with 8–14 years of experience and a passion for science communications is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in journalism, public relations, mass communications, international relations, or a related field and 8 to 10 years of relevant work experience, OR Bachelor's degree in mass media, communications, journalism and 10 to 14 years of relevant work experience.
• Biotechnology, pharmaceutical or healthcare communications experience would be preferred though not mandatory.
• Ability to interact with all levels of employees in the organization and follow up as required to complete tasks on time along with being an enthusiastic team player and self-starter.

• Execute internal communication plans for organization announcements, leadership updates, employee campaigns including town halls, leadership visits, internal events and key business initiatives.
• Develop and maintain communication assets including newsletters, articles, intranet content, presentations, FAQs, email communications, photo and video repository.
• Own day-to-day management of Amgen India's social media channels by maintain editorial calendar and support the website and other digital communication platforms.
• Coordinate with agencies and creative partners to develop communication materials and event assets and work with internal stakeholders to gather content, review communication materials and ensure timely delivery.
• Maintain communication repositories, editorial calendars and campaign trackers and track communication metrics across all channels for reporting on campaign performance and communication effectiveness.

Role Summary

The Manager, Corporate Affairs will support the execution of Amgen India's internal and external communications priorities by leading high-quality communication initiatives across internal communications, social media, employer branding and employee engagement. Working closely with the Director, Corporate Affairs and partnering with cross-functional stakeholders, the role will develop compelling content, manage communication channels, execute campaigns and events, and help amplify Amgen India's culture, innovation and business impact through consistent and engaging storytelling.

Basic Qualifications

Preferred Skills/ Qualifications

• Biotechnology, pharmaceutical or healthcare communications experience would be preferred though not mandatory.
• Experience creating internal and social media content for a large organization or GCC or R&D center.
• Ability to interact with all levels of employees in the organization and follow up as required to complete tasks on time along with being an enthusiastic team player and self-starter.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; keen eye for detail, ability to prioritize work and manage multiple feedback loops. Outstanding written and oral communication skills, ability to distil complex issues and information into simple, compelling, and relevant messages.
• Experience with graphic design and/or video editing tools and good PowerPoint skills will be an added advantage.
• Experience with Generative AI and keen to adopt use of AI and automation to bring in process efficiencies within the Corp Affairs Function.
• Familiarity with project management during large events.
