Job summary

Withum PC in India seeks a Manager of Valuation within our Forensic and Valuation Services to oversee equity valuations and other complex securities for financial reporting, tax compliance, and transaction advisory for mid to multinational clients.

Ideal candidates have 8–10 years of business valuations experience, including 409A, with strong Excel, Capital IQ, and VBA skills. The role emphasizes client service, teamwork and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience in business valuations, including 409A.
• In-depth knowledge of valuation methods: DCF, market multiples, and option pricing.
• Experience valuing complex financial instruments is strongly preferred.
• Valuation certifications such as ASA, CVA, ABV, CEIV, or CFA are a must.

Responsibilities

The Manager will work on a variety ofassignments, including taking substantial responsibility of overseeing andperforming equity valuations or complex security valuations (stock options,warrants, convertible debt, other complex securities/derivatives, etc.) forfinancial reporting, tax compliance, transaction advisory, and other purposes.The engagements will be performed for mostly medium-sized businesses to largemultinational corporations. The Manager should demonstrate the ability toprovide excellent client service and assist the growth of team members indeveloping technical skills and professional competency.

How You’ll Spend Your Time:

• Overseeing valuation analyses fortax, financial reporting, and advisory purposes (enterprise values, stockoptions, warrants, convertible debt, equity allocations across complexcapital structures, and other complex securities/derivatives) primarily inExcel
• Implementing and improving processesin performing valuations and writing and preparing of reports, letters,and other client deliverables
• Assisting in review of third partyappraisals for audit support purposes.
• Assisting in the development,maintenance, application of models using Excel and VBA for Monte Carlo,lattices, or other complex methods as requested
• Reviewing and gaining a sufficientunderstanding of the necessary tax and financial reporting guidancegoverning the analysis

Requirements

• Experience: 8 -10 years in businessvaluations in CFI & 409A is required
• In-depth understanding of valuationmethods such as discounted cash flow, market multiple, market transaction,and option pricing
• Experience in valuation of complexfinancial instruments is strongly preferred
• Valuation related certificationincluding ASA, CVA, ABV, CEIV, or CFA
• Advanced knowledge of Excel andCapital IQ preferred
• Ability to program in VBA and/orother statistical package a plus
• Capacity to work independently onprojects
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills
