Job summary

Withum seeks a Senior Product Analyst in Bengaluru to bridge Industry practices and product development. You will translate complex tax and business processes into actionable requirements, partner with accounting professionals, and deliver product capabilities that automate and optimize workflows.

You will define user stories, write acceptance criteria, and collaborate with the Innovation team to ensure successful adoption, test, and continuous improvement across tax/audit-focused solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Admin, Technology, IT, or MIS.
• 6+ years’ experience preferred in product analysis or related roles.
• Experience with Copilot, Microsoft 365, Azure DevOps, and document automation.

Responsibilities

• Translate process pain points into product requirements for the Innovation team.
• Document current-state workflows with experts to identify improvement opportunities.
• Define requirements for tax/audit products, including intake, automation, and workflows.
• Write user stories and acceptance criteria collaborating with Product Owner.
• Create and execute test scripts, coordinate UAT and triage defects.
• Support delivery, track ROI, and drive adoption of new tools.

The Innovation team is seeking a Senior Product Analyst based out of any of our Bangaluru locations within India. This role sits at theintersection of our Industry practices and our product development efforts,analyzing complex tax and business processes to be solved with automation andartificial intelligence. The Senior Product Analyst partners directly with accountingprofessionals to understand how work actually gets done, then translates thatunderstanding into clear requirements, user stories, and delivered productcapability.

How You’ll Spend Your Time

• Acting as the primary interface between theInnovation team and the firm’s practice and Product managers translatingprocess pain points into product requirements
• Partnering with subject matter experts acrosscompliance, provision, and advisory to document current-state workflows andidentify opportunities
• Leading requirements definition and delivery fortax/audit-focused products, including client intake, workpaper automation,document extraction, and review workflows
• Writing user stories and acceptance criteriabased on business-driven functionality as well as technical capabilities (workingwith both the Product Owner and Innovation team)
• Building and executing test scripts,coordinating user acceptance testing with teams, and triaging defects throughresolution
• Assisting with execution of product delivery andservices which includes benefit realization (ROI of new products, features,tools, services, etc.)
• Helping the Innovation team align changecatalysts to ensure successful adoption and utilization of products within the Firm
• Facilitating knowledge sessions, demonstrations,and training with subject matter experts and stakeholders across the firm
• Tracking adoption, usage, and time savings, andreporting results back to Innovation and Practice leadership
• Participating in sprint planning andproject/process specification meetings
• Understanding data movement and detailedknowledge of upstream and downstream systems, including accounting softwareplatforms, and the interactions and dependencies between them
• Seeking awareness of product scope (e.g. MVP)and providing input to define clear user stories to inform product development

Requirements

• Required Education Level: Bachelor’s degree inAccounting, Business Administration, Technology, Information Technology, orManagement Information Systems
• Required Years of Experience: 6+ years’experience preferred
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Copilot andthe broader Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including building or configuring Copilotagents, prompt design, and evaluating AI-generated output
• Familiarity with accounting technology platformsand document automation tools used in a professional services environment
• Experience running user acceptance testing,writing test scripts, and managing defect triage
• Agile and product management certifications withexperience with Azure DevOps and User Story creation
• Progress toward or desire to obtain Prosciand/or PMP certification
• Strong personal and communication skills bothwritten and verbal; ability to develop relationships with all stakeholders
• Exhibits willingness to try new ideas, even whendifferent than status quo
• Ability to work with several technologyplatforms including Microsoft Office and various innovative tools and systemssuch as but not limited to Agile to define clear user stories
• Ability to prepare charts, tables and diagramsto assist in analyzing problems, utilizing, if necessary, various business,scientific and/or engineering mathematical techniques
