Job summary

Tata Electronics in India is seeking a Senior Manager for Central Planning to own Production Planning, Supply Planning, Capacity Planning, and Inventory Management across EMS operations.

You will drive demand-to-plan translation, optimize inventory and working capital, lead S&OP cycles, and collaborate with Procurement, Manufacturing, and Sales to ensure on-time delivery and service excellence.

Qualifications

• 10–12 years of overall experience in Production/Supply Planning or Program Management

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Production Planning and Supply Planning to ensure on-time delivery and optimal resource utilization
• Translate customer demand into executable production and material plans aligned with capacity and inventory targets
• Drive planning for Assembly, Anodizing, and related manufacturing processes
• Monitor capacity, material availability, and production schedules to address bottlenecks
• Optimize inventory across Raw Materials, WIP, Finished Goods and consumables while improving working capital
• Lead monthly S&OP reviews and align demand, supply, inventory, and capacity plans
• Partner with Procurement, Manufacturing, Sales, Quality and Engineering to ensure seamless execution
• Drive customer service excellence through strong customer management and supply assurance
• Leverage SAP, Power BI, Blue Yonder, MES, and analytics tools to improve planning visibility and automation
• Lead and develop the Central Planning team, driving performance and continuous improvement

Role Purpose :

Lead the Central Planning function with primary accountability for Production Planning, Supply Planning, Capacity Planning, and Inventory Management across EMS manufacturing operations. Ensure delivery excellence, supply continuity, inventory optimization, and superior customer service while driving planning efficiency through data-driven decision-making and digitalization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end Production Planning and Supply Planning to ensure on-time delivery and optimal resource utilization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mandatory)/ M. Tech Manufacturing
• MBA from a Tier-1 B-School preferred

Experience:

• 10-12 years of Overall experience or 7+ years Post MBA/MTech experience required in Production Planning, Supply Planning, or Program Management
• Strong experience in EMS, Electronics Manufacturing, Automotive, Industrial Components, or Precision Engineering industries.
• Mandatory experience in leading and managing teams.
• Hands-on expertise in SAP/ERP, planning tools, analytics, and process improvement.
