Role Purpose

The Manager, Business Finance will act as a finance partner to business stakeholders, supporting planning, forecasting, performance management and decision-making. The role will interpret financial data, translate analysis into clear business insight, and help stakeholders understand the financial impact of decisions.

This role sits within Finance Business Partnering. It uses reporting and analytics produced by FP&A / Data and Analytics teams and focuses on interpretation, narrative, forward‑looking analysis and decision support.

Key Responsibilities

• Support budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and performance management activities.
• Partner with business stakeholders to review financial performance, risks and opportunities.
• Translate financial analysis into clear, practical recommendations for decision makers.
• Prepare and support business cases, investment assessments and ROI‑focused financial models.
• Identify cost optimization opportunities and support improvement actions.
• Monitor key financial and operational indicators to highlight performance gaps and delivery risks.
• Challenge assumptions and support root‑cause analysis using a finance perspective.
• Help improve financial literacy by explaining financial concepts, scenarios and trade‑offs in simple business language.
• Work with FP&A, Data and Analytics, technology and operational teams to improve reports, dashboards and decision‑support tools.
• Gather stakeholder feedback and contribute to continuous improvement of finance support.

Required Skills

• Strong FP&A capability, including budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and performance analysis.
• Good understanding of P&L, balance sheet, KPIs, reporting methods and value drivers.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to connect financial analysis to business outcomes.
• Clear communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify complex analysis.
• Stakeholder management and relationship‑building skills across business and finance teams.
• Problem‑solving ability, including assumption challenge and root‑cause analysis.
• Digital and data literacy, including the use of ERP analytics, dashboards and AI / Copilot‑style productivity tools with appropriate validation.
• Working knowledge of ERP and financial systems such as SAP, Oracle, Onstream, Fabric or equivalent platforms.
• Ability to work effectively in an international, matrixed organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related field.
• MBA preferred.
• Professional finance or accounting qualification such as CIMA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent preferred.

Experience

• Relevant experience in FP&A, controlling, business finance or finance business partnering.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and performance analysis.
• Experience supporting business stakeholders with financial insight and decision support.
• Experience working with cross‑functional teams to improve financial tools, dashboards or planning processes.
• Experience in a multinational, technology‑led or matrixed environment preferred.
