Job summary

The Corporate Institute in Bangalore is seeking a Chartered Accountant with 5–11 years of post-qualification experience in Accounting Advisory to work on Indian GAAP with IFRS and US GAAP. The role focuses on delivering practical recommendations to strengthen internal controls and compliant financial reporting for complex clients.

Ideal candidates bring strong knowledge of Indian GAAP, IFRS, and US GAAP, and are able to communicate complex issues clearly to clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5–11 years post-qualification experience in Accounting Advisory under Indian GAAP with IFRS & US GAAP.
• Proficient in Indian GAAP, IFRS and US GAAP financial reporting for large/complex entities.
• Ability to explain complex accounting issues to clients and stakeholders clearly.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate expertise in primary accounting framework (Indian GAAP and IFRS; US GAAP knowledge preferred) and laws like the Companies Act, Income-tax Act and SEBI Act.
• Provide real-time practical recommendations to add value to the client's business and improve internal controls through Management Letters.
• Possess thorough understanding of IGAAP and IFRS and/or US GAAP reporting in complex/large companies.
• Support multi-location/jurisdiction group audits and ERP/consolidation IT system implementations.
• Explain complex accounting and financial reporting issues in simple terms.

• Demonstrate expertise in primary accounting framework (Indian GAAP and IFRS; US GAAP knowledge preferred) and laws like the Companies Act, Income-tax Act and SEBI Act.
• Provide real-time practical recommendations to add value to the client's business and improve the internal control environment through Management Letters.
• Possess a thorough understanding of IGAAP and/or IFRS and/or US GAAP financial reporting in complex/large companies.
• Strong IGAAP with IFRS and US GAAP with IFRS financial reporting experience in complex/large companies, most likely in Big 4 audit/advisory/transaction vertical or MNC finance/M&A environment.
• Ability to explain complex accounting and financial reporting issues simply.

Specific financial reporting experience in at least one of the following will be given preferences:

• 1. Transactions (acquisitions, carve outs, demergers, restructuring)
• 2. Complex consolidation structure in an MNC environment including implementation of ERP/consolidation IT system
• 3. Experience handling multilocation/jurisdiction group audits for tech-based companies.
