Job summary

BTVK Advisory in Gurugram seeks an experienced accounting advisory professional to lead global client service teams on capital markets and GAAP reporting engagements. You will guide complex financial accounting and reporting work across IFRS, US GAAP, and Ind-AS.

The role emphasizes technical accounting advisory, policy drafting, training, and people management, with opportunities to shape engagements and mentor junior staff in a fast‑growing practice.

Qualifications

• Post‑qualification experience in auditing or financial reporting (3–5 years), with at least 2 years in advisory, preferably Big 4.
• Expert knowledge of IFRS or US GAAP and Ind-AS.

Responsibilities

• Lead global client service teams in capital markets and SPAC transactions.
• Oversee SEC/SEBI reporting and financial accounting and reporting processes.
• Manage GAAP conversions and adoption of new accounting standards.
• Provide technical accounting advisory on complex topics (e.g., business combinations, consolidation, debt/equity).
• Draft accounting policies and write technical memoranda.
• Organize training and people management for the team.
• Direct a team of associates and seniors on client engagements with high quality delivery.
• Facilitate multiple rounds of technical interviews and candidate assessments.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Lead global client service teams in the following areas:
• Capital markets and SPAC transactions
• SEC/SEBI Reporting and Compliance Financial Accounting and Reporting
• GAAP conversions
• Transaction accounting - acquisitions, carve-outs, restructuring
• Accounting change (revenue recognition and lease accounting)
• Accounting policy manuals and technical accounting memorandums
• Organizing and providing technical training People management
• Lead a team of Associates and Seniors on client engagements and provide high quality delivery
• People and performance management
• Conduct trainings for team members on accounting and reporting concepts

Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA) CPA (US) or ACCA (UK)
• 3–5 years of post–qualification experience in auditing, accounting, or financial reporting, with at least 2 years of advisory experience preferably with a Big 4
• Expert knowledge of IFRS or US GAAP and Ind-AS
• Extensive experience in the following areas:
• Financial statement preparation and consolidation process
• Technical accounting advisory on complex topics (e.g. business combinations, consolidation, debt/equity etc.)
• GAAP conversions and adoption of new accounting standards
• Drafting accounting policies and writing technical memorandums
• Candidates can expect at least two-three rounds of technical interviews
