As the Manager – AI, you will spearhead the development and deployment of cutting-edge AI solutions, leading a high-performing team of AI/ML engineers, data scientists, and software developers. This role combines strategic vision with deep technical acumen, focusing on Agentic AI, Generative AI, LLMs, and NLP to create scalable, production-grade solutions for SaaS environments.

You'll be responsible for shaping the company’s AI roadmap, driving project execution end-to-end, and ensuring seamless cross-functional collaboration. If you're passionate about solving complex problems through AI, deploying models at scale on cloud platforms like AWS/GCP, and mentoring the next generation of AI talent—this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities:

Co-develop the organization’s AI strategy alongside executive leadership.
Identify key product and business areas where AI can drive automation, intelligence, or differentiation.
Drive the adoption of Agentic AI, LLMs, and multi-modal models into core products.
Lead, grow, and mentor a team of AI/ML engineers and data scientists.
Cultivate a high-performance, innovation-driven, and collaborative team culture.
Set clear OKRs and continuously assess performance metrics.

Project Management

Own the AI/ML project lifecycle—scope, timelines, resource allocation, risk management.
Ensure AI initiatives meet delivery deadlines while maintaining high quality and innovation standards.
Drive Agile best practices to support iterative development and rapid deployment.

Technical Ownership

Stay abreast of advances in LLMs (OpenAI, Mistral, Claude, etc.), prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and RLHF.
Provide architectural direction on ML pipelines, vector stores, inference endpoints, and cloud-native deployments.
Conduct code and model reviews; contribute to complex problem-solving and experimentation.

Cross-functional Collaboration

Partner closely with product managers, frontend/backend engineers, and UX to integrate AI capabilities into end-user experiences.
Ensure AI models are production-ready, ethically sound, and aligned with user needs.

Quality Assurance & Governance

Implement rigorous MLOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, monitoring, and model versioning.
Ensure bias mitigation, explainability, and compliance across all AI solutions.

Resource & Budget Management

Manage budgets for team tools, infrastructure, and hiring needs.
Lead recruitment and onboarding of new AI team members.

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain robust documentation for AI systems, architectures, and experiments.
Provide timely reporting and KPIs to senior leadership on project status and outcomes.

Qualifications:

Master’s or Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field

Proven track record delivering production-grade AI/ML solutions in fast-paced environments.
Strong hands-on experience in:
Cloud: AWS (SageMaker, Lambda, S3), GCP (Vertex AI, BigQuery)
Solid understanding of NLP, RAG, embeddings, vector databases (Pinecone, FAISS), and Transformer-based architectures.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies and working in cross-functional product teams.
