Job summary

Skechers is seeking a Manager – Apparel Sourcing to lead end-to-end sourcing and production for apparel and accessories. You will drive capacity planning, schedule production, and optimize supplier lead times while monitoring progress with TNA and WIP reports.

Qualifications

• Experience in end-to-end apparel sourcing and production.
• Strong vendor development and onboarding capabilities.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint; ERP/PLM systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end sourcing and production execution for apparel and accessories.
• Drive capacity planning, production scheduling, and lead-time optimization.
• Monitor progress with TNA, WIP, and production trackers.
• Identify production risks and implement corrective actions.
• Lead product development, samples, and production follow-up.
• Negotiate costing and optimize FOB to support margins.
• Review tech packs, costing, TNAs, and production data.
• Collaborate with suppliers, factories, merchandising, PPC, QA and design teams.
• Identify, onboard, develop, and manage vendors per standards.
• Prepare production reports using internal systems.
• Drive continuous improvement across sourcing and supply chain.
• Travel regularly to supplier/factory locations for follow-up.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Flex PLM, SAP or similar systems preferred.

Job description

The Manager – Apparel Sourcing is responsible for managing end-to-end sourcing activities, including sample development, costing, vendor onboarding, production follow-up, and supplier performance. The role ensures timely, cost-effective, and quality-driven delivery through effective planning, vendor management, and cross-functional collaboration. Strong problem-solving, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills are essential, along with regular travel to supplier and factory locations.

• Manage end-to-end sourcing and production execution for apparel and accessories.
• Drive capacity planning, production scheduling, and supplier lead-time optimization.
• Monitor production progress through TNA (Time & Action Calendar), WIP reports, and production trackers.
• Identify production risks early and implement corrective actions to ensure on-time delivery.
• Manage supplier performance and drive achievement of quality, cost, delivery, and service KPIs.
• Lead product development, sample execution, and production follow-up to meet business timelines.
• Negotiate product costing and optimize FOB while supporting margin improvement initiatives.
• Review tech packs, costing, TNAs, and production data to ensure accuracy and execution readiness.
• Collaborate with suppliers, factories, merchandising, PPC, quality, and design teams to ensure seamless execution.
• Identify, onboard, develop, and manage vendors while ensuring compliance with company standards.
• Prepare and maintain production reports using internal systems and production planning tools.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across sourcing and supply chain operations.
• Travel regularly to supplier and factory locations for production follow-up, vendor development, and issue resolution.
• Demonstrate strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Flex PLM, SAP, or similar ERP/PLM systems is preferred.
