Job summary

Teradata in Bengaluru, India seeks a Manager, AI Engineering to lead next-generation AI products. You will steer design, architecture, development, and delivery, guiding teams through complex distributed systems and AI workloads.

You will collaborate with Product, Cloud, Architecture, and Customer teams, drive technical strategy, promote best practices across the SDLC, and mentor senior engineers to build scalable, high-quality software in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent from a recognized institution.
• 11+ years of experience in largescale product development, distributed systems, or AI/ML, managing teams and senior engineering talent.
• Strong problem solving skills, familiar with AI/ML technologies, including LLMs and agentic AI systems.
• Expertise in microservices development, RESTful APIs, cloud technologies, SDLC, CI/CD, observability and production operations.
• Experience building high quality products in fast-paced technology environments.

Responsibilities

• Be highly hands-on and drive the design, architecture, development, evolution, delivery and adoption of one or more AI products.
• Lead and develop high performing engineering teams including Staff and Senior Engineers.
• Shape the product vision, technology roadmap, and engineering strategy for AI products.
• Be deeply involved in technical decision making, providing guidance across coding, architecture, modelling, system design, and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners across Product, Cloud, Architecture, and Customer teams to deliver high impact, end-to-end capabilities.
• Champion best practices across the software development lifecycle, including code quality, documentation, testing, CI/CD, observability, and production excellence.
• Establish data-driven processes and feedback loops to continuously improve product quality, performance, and engineering efficiency.
• Build and sustain a culture of ownership, innovation, high accountability, and technical excellence across your teams.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, AI/ML advancements, and industry best practices to ensure long-term product and organizational success.
