Job summary

Symphoni Hr is seeking a senior professional to lead and execute complex Equity Derivatives confirmation drafting for structured products such as EQS, TRS, Index Swaps, and Basket options. You will ensure quality reviews, lead operational activities, and drive governance with cross-functional teams, including Legal, Front Office, and Sales, while mentoring others on ISDA standards.

The role emphasizes regulatory compliance (EMIR, CFTC), template automation, and ongoing transformation

• 8-12 years of relevant industry experience and specifically Confirmation drafting experience.
• Ability to manage alliances, Client relationships and cross functional initiatives.
• Translate data into key business metrics and decision making.

Responsibilities

• Hands-On Drafting: perform complex Equity Derivatives confirmation drafting for structured products using ISDA documentation hierarchy.
• Quality Review & First Time-Right Excellence: be primary reviewer for EQ derivatives drafts.
• Operational Leadership & Performance Monitoring: support daily drafting pod with backlog dynamics and coordination with Legal, FO, MO, Sales for templates and new product coverage.
• Training & Regulatory Compliance: train and develop FTEs on EQ derivatives and ISDA documentation; ensure EMIR and CFTC compliance.
• Template Automation: track and automate new products and drafts via Thunderhead development.
• Governance: help govern drafting pod risk parameters and ensure timely dispatch of revisions.
• Contribute to Firm-wide Transformation Projects.

Job description

Role & Responsibilities:

• Hands-On Drafting: Perform complex Equity Derivatives confirmation drafting for structured products (Including: EQS, TRS, Index Swaps, Index Options, Basket Swaps, Basket Options, Auto-callable, Barrier Options, Accumulator/ Decumulator, Basket Options) using ISDA documentation hierarchy. Execute risk-based prioritization with T+5 focus for internal dependencies.
• Quality Review & First Time-Right Excellence: Serve as primary reviewer for all EQ derivatives drafts prepared by Drafting pod.
• Operational Leadership & Performance Monitoring: Support daily Drafting pod to execute relevant and critical tasks. This includes - Backlog dynamics, Allocation, Internal Dependency coordination, Driving conversation with Legal, FO, MO, Sales for NEW Template negotiation, NEW product coverage.
• Training & Regulatory Compliance: Train and develop FTEs on EQ derivatives product knowledge and ISDA documentation; ensure compliance with ISDA Best Practice, EMIR and CFTC.
• Template Automation: Ensure new products and manual drafted confirmations are tracked and automated via Thunderhead development.
• Governance: Help govern Drafting Pod risk parameters such as trades non-dispatched since inception > 5 days, revisions required are dispatched within 3 days, First-Time-Right Quality governance, drafters and reviewers inflow vs outflow mitigation.
• Contribute towards Firm-wide Transformation Projects.

Requirements

• 8-12 years of relevant industry experience and specifically Confirmation drafting experience.

• Technical Skills/ Business Domain, Soft Skills, OTC Confirmations operations background

• Understands risk parameters in the OTC Confirmations Team and helps mitigate them effectively.

• Require in depth understanding and experience of Trade life cycle
• Expertise in technical skills like Alteryx, Power BI, Robotics, Machine Learning etc.
