Job summary

Luminous Power Technologies in Gurgaon seeks a Chief Engineer Quality to oversee product quality, reliability and safety from design through lifecycle sustenance. You will lead critical component approvals, governance, and DFMEA/PQCS activities while guiding RD, CSQ, supplier quality and manufacturing teams.

You will drive innovations for inverters, UPS, solar systems and power conversion technologies, mentoring engineers and shaping technology roadmaps across the organization.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of electronic engineering fundamentals.
• In-depth knowledge of power conversion topologies (AC-DC, DC-DC, DC-AC, resonant, SMPS).
• Understanding of digital control / embedded electronics is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• ECN-ECO Management - Lead and approve all Engineering Change Notices / Orders (ECN-ECO) for critical components.
• Product Design Quality Integration - Embed quality, reliability, manufacturability, and safety requirements in early-stage design; review specs before Series 5 maturity; ensure design-output alignment with customer needs.
• DFMEA PQCS Leadership - Lead or co-drive DFMEA; drive PQCS deployment for new products; identify risks and preventive actions.
• Cross-Functional Technical Support - Provide deep technical analysis for field and quality escalations; guide failures and corrective actions.
• Supplier Expertise Process Audits - SME for supplier audits of EMS, inductive, passive components; assess maturity and robustness.
• Product Sustenance Innovation - Support improvements and contribute to long-term power conversion and embedded digital control roadmaps.

Qualifications

Education

• Diploma/Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Power Electronics, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of electronic engineering fundamentals, schematics, passive and inductive component design.
• In-depth knowledge of power conversion topologies (AC-DC, DC-DC, DC-AC, resonant, SMPS).
• Understanding of digital control / embedded electronics is beneficial.
• Experience with innovative or cutting-edge digital/power product development is a plus.

• ECN-ECO Management - Component Approval: Lead and approve all Engineering Change Notices / Orders (ECN-ECO) for critical components.

• Cross-Functional Technical Support - Support CSQ OQL/CE teams with deep technical analysis to ensure correct solutions for field and quality escalations; Provide expert guidance on product failures, corrective actions, and validation strategies.
• Supplier Expertise Process Audits - Serve as SME for supplier process audits for components such as EMS, inductive parts, passive components, and electronic; Assess supplier maturity, process capability, and component robustness.
• Product Sustenance Innovation - Support continuous improvements in recently released products as part of the RD and CSQ collaboration model; Contribute to long-term innovation and technology roadmaps in power conversion and embedded digital control; Inspire technical innovation and mentor engineers across the organization.
