Job summary

Jobtailor in Chennai is seeking a CA-qualified professional to lead Capex OP activities and oversee project controlling. The role requires tracking spend vs. budget, validating ROI against business cases, and ensuring proper capitalization of fixed assets.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Regional Capex Controller to lead Capex OP activities and align division guidelines.
• Track op vs actuals and monitor capex spend to stay within budget.
• Assess investment ROI and realisation compared to business case.
• Coordinate with Tax team on PLI inputs and capitalized assets.
• Validate RFQ submissions and clear thresholds (M-ROCE/Payback/GMP).
• Review capitalization process of fixed assets and ensure capitalization on readiness for use.

Job description

• Collaboration with Regional Capex Controller to lead the Capex OP activities and align the Division direction and guidelines on Capex OP
• Track OP vs Actuals and monitor to control capex spend to ensure within Budget
• Investment ROI Business case vs Actual realization
• PLI Input to Tax team coordinated with FA controller to confirm capitalized assets
• Assessment of new investment projects and provide recommendation for approval to Leaders
• Validation of RFQ submitted by project team and give clearance meeting Project thresholds (M-ROCE / Payback / GMP) and clearance based on deviation approvals
• Review of Capitalization process of Fixed Assets and ensure that all the capital work in progress items are capitalized once they are ready for intended use.

Requirements

• CA Qualified with ~5 years of experience in controlling
• Professional experience in project controlling, experience in the automotive environment is an advantage
• Good communication skills towards all levels of organization
• Team player being able to cooperate with different functions and departments across various product lines
• Independent and proactive way of working, strong communication and resilience
