Job summary

Quest Global is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 5-8 years of experience across refinery, oil & gas, power, steel, edible oil, pharma, and mining sectors to join our maintenance team. You will plan maintenance activities, review P&ID and drawings, and collaborate with customers and stakeholders.

You will work with SAP PM/MM to maintain equipment history and drive continuous improvement through CI/PI ideas while delivering weekly status updates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 5-8 years' experience in refinery/oil & gas/power/steel/pharma sectors.
• Experience with SAP PM/MM for maintenance history and planning.
• Strong knowledge of rotary & static equipment maintenance.
• Ability to read P&ID, layout drawings and isometrics.

Responsibilities

• Remotely support maintenance planning of rotating equipment and static equipment.
• Create job packages (work packs) and SMPs.
• Plan preventive, predictive & breakdown maintenance; record history.
• Review P&ID, Isometric drawings, Equipment drawings; work with SAP to manage data.
• Piping knowledge for fabrication/erection per P&ID and related drawings.
• Support CI/PI ideas within the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Remotely support of Maintenance Planning of rotating equipment and static equipment.

Create job packages (work packs) Job procedure/Standard Maintenance procedures (SMP) of static and rotating equipment.

Plan all the maintenance activities such as preventive, predictive & breakdown maintenance and record history of maintenance activity.

Understand/review P&ID, Isometric Drawing, Equipment drawing, Civil Foundation Drawing, 3-D Model, Plot Plan, Lay out, Equipment GA drawing etc. Working on PM & MM modules of SAP to maintain the equipment history, material reservation, Consumption, Master data management, Preparing task lists, maintenance items/ maintenance plan, task list enhancement, work order planning etc.

Piping knowledge: Pipe fabrication/erection according to P&ID and Isometric drawing, support drawings, piping specs etc.

Work Experience

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
• Strong Engineering Fundamentals
• 5-8 Years of Experience in either of the industries - (Refinery, Oil and gas, Power generation, Steel plant, Edible oil production, Big pharma industries, Mining industry, Pesticide / Agro chemical production, Marine maintenance)
• Experience in working with customers/stakeholders
• Work with team in generating process improvement and cost saving through CI/PI ideas
• Provide weekly/monthly status reports to relevant stakeholders
• In depth exposure on Process Knowledge
• Strong knowledge in Operations and Maintenance
• Expertise in Maintenance of Rotary & Static Equipment
• Expert in reading all the documentation like P& ID, Layout drawings & Isometrics
• Good written and verbal communications
