Job summary

Rotehügels is seeking a Maintenance Engineer – Mechanical in India to ensure reliability and performance of mechanical equipment across copper refinery operations. The role includes preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance, with a focus on improving plant reliability and safety.

You will lead preventive programs, troubleshoot diverse equipment, and coordinate shutdowns while ensuring compliance with maintenance standards and environmental safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in mechanical engineering.
• 5–10 years of experience in heavy industrial maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of rotating and static equipment.
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Familiarity with CMMS/SAP PM or equivalent maintenance software.
• Knowledge of predictive maintenance techniques.
• Strong troubleshooting and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Troubleshoot and repair pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, agitators, crushers, compressors, fans, blowers, heat exchangers, and piping systems.
• Oversee maintenance of furnaces, anode casting equipment, refinery machinery, and utility systems.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate shutdowns, overhauls, and equipment commissioning.
• Manage spare parts inventory and maintenance documentation.
• Work closely with production teams to minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and maintenance standards.
• Support condition monitoring, vibration analysis, lubrication, and reliability improvement initiatives.
