Chubb India is seeking an experienced Mainframe Technical Lead – Application Support for Bengaluru to oversee billing production support with 10–14 years of hands-on COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS and VSAM expertise and a readiness to learn new AI tools.

Lead billing production support, monitor task performance, coach team members, and collaborate with offshore colleagues and business users to implement effective solutions.

Qualificações

• 10–14 years hands-on experience with COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS and VSAM in billing/support environments.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and AI tooling.

Responsabilidades

• Lead billing production support, monitor task performance and coach team members.
• Assist in defect identification and ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Act as first escalation point for offshore team and primary business user contact.
• Leverage KT documentation to train staff and cross-train teammates.
• Suggest and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and stability.
• Investigate root causes of recurring issues and propose preventive actions.
• Analyze business process flows to identify gaps in mainframe applications.
• Maintain incident logs, RCA documents, and SOPs.
• Provide timely updates on incident status and resolution to stakeholders.
• Prepare and share reports on incident trends and SLA compliance.
• Document issues, resolutions, and workarounds in knowledge base.
• Participate in modernization initiatives and explore integration with AI tools.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Application Support specialist with 10–14 years of handson expertise in COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS & VSAM to support Billing Applications. The ideal candidate should be open to learning new technologies and AI tools.

Responsibilities:

• Lead billing production support by monitoring task performance, coaching team members, and providing feedback to developers and onshore peers.

• Quality Control: Assist in identifying and resolving defects; ensure adherence to quality standards.

• Problem Solving: Act as the first point of escalation for the offshore team and primary contact for business users; assist with implementing solutions.

• Training and Development: Leverage KT documentation to train new staff, cross-train existing team members, and support skill development.

• Process Improvement: Suggest and implement improvements that increase efficiency and system stability.

• Investigate root causes for recurring functional issues and propose preventive actions.

• Analyze business process flows and identify gaps or improvement areas in mainframe applications.

• Maintain detailed incident logs, Root Cause Analysis (RCA) documents, and functional SOPs.
• Provide timely updates to users and stakeholders on incident status and resolution.
• Prepare and share regular reports on incident trends, SLA compliance, and functional health.
• Document functional issues, resolutions, and workarounds in the knowledge base.
• Participate in modernization initiatives and explore integration with new technologies and AI tools.
