Job summary

Saaki Argus And Averil Consulting in Hyderabad, India, is seeking a skilled Mainframe Developer to join our core infrastructure team. Qualifications

• Proficient in COBOL, JCL, and Rexx/Clist.
• Strong hands-on experience with CICS.
• Deep understanding of DB2 (including SQL optimization) and IMS DB/DC or VSAM.
• Experience with mainframe tools like TSO/ISPF, Changeman or Endevor, File-Aid, SyncSort, Xpediter/Intertest.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, and implement high-quality mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, and JCL.
• Maintain, optimize, and debug existing legacy applications to improve performance and resolve production bottlenecks.
• Write, optimize, and manage complex database queries using DB2 and IMS DB/DC.
• Provide technical support, troubleshoot batch job failures, and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with DevOps and cloud teams to integrate mainframe backend systems with web and mobile applications via APIs.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system architecture maps, workflows, and disaster recovery procedures.
