Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for administration, engineering, support, and continuous improvement of IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) on z/OS and z/OS Connect platforms, ensuring platform stability, security, resilience, and availability for critical business applications.
• Administer and support WAS on z/OS and z/OS Connect environments across all stages (DEV, TEST,PROD).
• Perform installation, configuration, fix pack upgrades, patching, and platform maintenance activities.
• Manage middleware configurations including cells, nodes, clusters, server instances, and connectivity setup.
• Support z/OS Connect service deployment, configuration, and API runtime management.
• Perform SSL/TLS certificate management, SAF keyring updates, and security compliance activities.
• Troubleshoot production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate resolution with relevant teams and vendors (IBM support where required).
• Execute and govern production changes with implementation validation and rollback readiness.
• Monitor system health, analyze logs, and perform performance tuning for platform optimization.
• Drive automation and operational improvements using scripting and process standardization.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, network, and security teams for platform delivery and issue resolution.
• Support disaster recovery, resilience validation, and environment recovery testing activities.
• Provide technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and operational support across the team.
