Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Mainframe Capacity, Performance, and Reporting Analyst to support the monitoring, analysis, and optimization of our mainframe systems. This role includes a strong focus on optimizing workloads within the 4HRA, CPU utilization tracking and reporting, ensuring compliance with software licensing and cost management strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze mainframe system performance metrics including CPU, memory, DASD, I/O, and workload distribution.
• Track and report 4HRA (Four-Hour Rolling Average) CPU utilization to support cost optimization and software licensing compliance.
• Conduct capacity planning and forecasting to ensure adequate resource availability and future scalability.
• Experience with Apptio platform.
• Develop and maintain automated performance and capacity reports using tools such as RMF, SMF, TMON and SCRT Reporting.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and operations teams to address performance issues and optimize workloads.
• Forecasting usage and trending.
• Provide regular and ad-hoc reporting to IT leadership and business stakeholders.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing with a focus on capacity and performance readiness.
