Job summary

Umicore AG & Co. KG in Pune, India seeks an experienced Machine Learning Engineer to design, develop, and deploy advanced ML models for automotive catalysts analytics.

You will collaborate with data engineers to maintain data pipelines, evaluate frameworks, and experiment with techniques to optimize performance and accuracy. The role requires 5+ years in ML, strong Python/R/Java skills, and hands-on Databricks experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Machine Learning Engineer.
• Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
• Strong programming skills in Python, R, or Java.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks.
• Expertise in ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-Learn.
• Proven experience deploying ML models in production environments.
• Strong understanding of supervised, unsupervised, deep learning, and reinforcement learning algorithms.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS, or GCP).
• Knowledge of MLOps practices (CI/CD, model monitoring, versioning).
• Nice to have NLP or Computer Vision; familiarity with Agile methodologies; fluency in English.
