About Astrobase Space Technologies

Astrobase is a pioneering spacetech startup founded by prominent Senior ISRO scientists and IIT Bombay alumni with over 20 years of experience in designing, manufacturing, testing and flying advanced Cryogenic Launch Vehicles. Key Responsibilities

Local Procurement:

• Handle sourcing and execution of local manufacturing activities by visiting suppliers and ensuring urgent jobs are completed on time.
• Conduct weekly visits to vendors for procuring items locally against Purchase Requisitions (PRs) raised by internal teams.
• Identify and coordinate with local service providers such as electricians, plumbers, civil contractors, and manpower suppliers as per operational needs.
• Track materials sent out for job work (fabrication, machining, etc.) from the factory, follow up with vendors, and ensure timely closure and reconciliation.
• Manage movement of materials between the factory, office, suppliers, and test facilities based on internal requests.
• Coordinate with stores to handle procurement of daily/weekly consumables such as tools, fasteners, PPE, adhesives, and maintenance items.
• Track all local purchases, maintain records of quotations, delivery challans, and invoices.
• Coordinate with Stores and Accounts for GRN preparation, invoice processing, and vendor ledger reconciliation.
• Develop vendor relationships and maintain an active database of qualified local suppliers.

Logistics

• Arrange local vehicle movement through platforms like Porter or local vendors to ensure timely pickup and delivery of materials.
• Oversee loading and unloading activities at the factory and ensure materials are handled safely and efficiently.
• Handle daily inbound and outbound logistics, including coordination with transporters, courier agencies, and internal stakeholders.
• Prepare and hand over dispatch documents such as Delivery Challans (DCs), E-way bills, and Invoices for outgoing consignments.
• Coordinate the arrangement of cranes, forklifts, or lifting equipment for handling heavy or oversized materials.
• Ensure proper packing and labelling of materials being dispatched to various locations, including test facilities, offices, and external vendors.
• Monitor and order packaging materials (boxes, tapes, wrapping, pallets, etc.) to maintain uninterrupted packing and dispatch operations.
