Job summary

NTT DATA Services in Bengaluru seeks a LINUX Systems Integration Senior Specialist to lead advanced Linux administration in large-scale enterprise environments. You will optimize kernel performance, implement automation with Ansible/Puppet/Chef, and manage cloud/hybrid workloads across AWS/Azure/GCP.

You will collaborate with DevOps and cloud teams to integrate CI/CD using Jenkins, Git, and Terraform, mentor L1/L2 engineers, and ensure reliability through proactive monitoring and incident

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate (B. Tech/B.E./MCA or equivalent).
• 8 to 10 years of Linux/Unix system administration experience in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Deep expertise in Linux OS (RHEL, Ubuntu, SUSE, Rocky) including kernel tuning, performance optimization, system internals and capacity planning.
• Strong hands-on experience with Ansible / Puppet / Chef for configuration management and automation; Bash and Python scripting; building reusable automation frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with at least one cloud platform (AWS / Azure / GCP); managing Linux workloads in cloud and hybrid environments; understanding cloud-native services, IAM, networking, and storage.
• Strong working knowledge of Docker / Podman; Kubernetes / OpenShift administration and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK stack, Splunk or similar tools; exposure to SRE practices (SLI/SLO, alerting, incident response, error budgets).
• Strong understanding of Linux security, hardening, and vulnerability management; experience with CIS, STIG, ISO, SOC2 and audit support.
• Lead major incident handling (P1/P2), RCA, preventive measures; strong knowledge of ITIL practices and governance.
• Ability to design and implement scalable, highly available Linux environments; migrations, upgrades, and data center/cloud transformations.
• Work closely with DevOps, application and cloud teams for CI/CD integration; exposure to Jenkins, Git, Terraform is desirable.
• Knowledge of AIX/Solaris for legacy systems is a plus; RHCE/RHCA, LFCS/LFCE, or Cloud certifications preferred.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management; ability to mentor L1/L2 engineers; ownership mindset with analytical and decision-making ability.
• 8 to 10 Years experience
• Willing to work in rotational shifts / on-call 24x7 environment.

Job Description:

• Educational Qualification:
  • Must be a graduate (B. Tech/B.E./MCA or equivalent).
• Experience:
  • 8 to 10 years of experience in Linux/Unix system administration in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Advanced Linux Administration:
  • Deep expertise in Linux OS (RHEL, Ubuntu, SUSE, Rocky).
  • Strong knowledge of kernel tuning, performance optimization, system internals, and capacity planning.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting complex production issues.
• Automation & Configuration Management:
  • Strong hands‑on experience with Ansible / Puppet / Chef for configuration management and automation.
  • Proficiency in Bash and Python scripting for automation and operational efficiency.
  • Experience in building reusable automation frameworks.
• Cloud & Hybrid Infrastructure:
  • Hands‑on experience with at least one cloud platform (AWS / Azure / GCP).
  • Experience managing Linux workloads in cloud and hybrid environments.
  • Understanding of cloud-native services, IAM, networking, and storage.
• Containers & Orchestration:
  • Strong working knowledge of Docker / Podman.
  • Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes / OpenShift administration and troubleshooting.
