Job summary

Analog Devices, Inc. in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced Linux System Administrator to join the global Engineering-IT team. The role requires hands-on management of large enterprise Linux environments, from installation to performance tuning and security hardening.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, support AWS-based deployments, and drive automation and DevOps initiatives to improve reliability and efficiency across critical business applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• 4+ years of Linux system administration experience.
• Experience managing enterprise Linux environments, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Ubuntu.
• Experience supporting virtualized environments such as VMware, Hyper‑V, or similar platforms.
• Proficiency in scripting (shell/ python) and advanced Linux command-line administration.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals, including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, SSH, and NTP.
• Experience with configuring monitoring and logging tools (Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana).

Responsibilities

• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain operational documentation and procedures.
• Develop tools and automation solutions to improve operational efficiency.
• Support infrastructure automation, configuration management, and DevOps initiatives.

Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced Linux system Administrator to be part of the global Engineering-IT organization. The ideal candidate must have 4+ years’ experience in managing Linux environment in large enterprise, troubleshooting system/OS issues, implementing security best practices, and supporting critical business applications. This role requires strong technical and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Linux System Administration

• Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade Linux OS & application (Red Hat and Ubuntu) in a physical and virtual environment

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in semiconductors, EDA, or high-performance computing (HPC) environments.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly AWS.
• Knowledge of NetApp storage, and on‑prem & cloud based backup/recovery solutions
• Experience with configuration management and automation tools such as Ansible or Puppet.
• Knowledge of container technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Advanced certifications in RedHat , AWS etc. are a plus.

• Experience with project management and using AI tools to improve productivity is a plus.
