Job summary

Pashupati Capital Services is seeking a Linux Infrastructure Engineer to deploy, tune and maintain a high-frequency trading (HFT) infrastructure on bare-metal Linux servers in Mumbai. You will work with senior engineers and trading desks to ensure low-latency performance and reliability.

Role involves Windows/Microsoft Server maintenance, on-site collaboration with trading operations, and contributing to root-cause analysis for infrastructure issues.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of hands-on Linux administration experience (RHEL, Rocky or Ubuntu).
• Interest in performance tuning and low-latency environments.
• Working knowledge of Windows Server administration and patch management.
• Comfort with scripting and automation (Bash; Python or Ansible a plus).
• Familiarity with Indian financial exchanges or trading platforms is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Tune and maintain bare-metal Linux servers for low-latency performance.
• Optimise systems at hardware and BIOS level for speed and stability.
• Support co-located infrastructure at Indian exchanges - provisioning, monitoring and daily readiness checks.
• Ensure accurate time synchronisation and reliable start-of-day and end-of-day operations.
• Maintain Windows/Microsoft Server environment, including Active Directory, patching and endpoint security.
• Collaborate with Network Engineer to test and validate performance improvements.
• Provide support for trading and back-office applications, and lead root-cause analysis on infrastructure issues.

• Tune and maintain bare-metal Linux servers for consistent, low-latency performance.
• Optimise systems at the hardware and BIOS level for speed and stability.
• Support co-located infrastructure at major Indian exchanges - provisioning, monitoring and daily readiness checks.
• Ensure accurate time synchronisation and reliable start-of-day and end-of-day operations.
• Maintain our Windows/Microsoft Server environment, including Active Directory, patching and endpoint security.
• Work with our Network Engineer to test and validate performance improvements.
