Job summary

Tekskills is seeking a seasoned Linux systems engineer in India to lead and optimize Linux-based environments. The role requires 8–10 years of hands-on experience with Linux distributions, scripting, and automation, including Ansible and shell scripting.

Expect collaboration with cloud and storage teams for hybrid deployments and performance tuning of HPC schedulers. Responsibilities include troubleshooting DNS/NIS/LDAP, kernel-level debugging, and maintaining CISSP-aligned security.

Qualifications

• 4 years of Linux systems engineering experience.
• EDA Project Experience, Linux (Rhel, Rocky, Centos), including Bourne, C-Shell, and derivatives, Network fundamentals Apache, DNS, LDAP, NIS, SSH, X and associated L2 - Shell Scripting, remote access tools (RealVnc, ETX), NFS, HPC Schedulers (IBM LSF, Altair Accelerator, Performance monitoring Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA EX200)

Responsibilities

• Manage and troubleshoot Linux services DNS, NIS, LDAP, Altair Accelerator, IBM LSF.
• Perform kernel-level debugging, patching, and performance tuning.
• Automate system tasks using Ansible, Python, and shell scripting.
• Maintain secure environments aligned with CISSP best practices.
• Collaborate with cloud and storage teams for hybrid deployments.
• Document procedures and maintain version control of installed software.
