Job summary

OSI Digital seeks an experienced Linux Administrator in Hyderabad to manage on‑premises and cloud Linux servers. The role requires handling RHEL/OEL versions, virtualization, backups, and monitoring across multiple projects, with 24x7 shifts on rotation.

The ideal candidate will have strong Linux skills, cloud experience (AWS/OCI/Azure), and exposure to VMware ecosystems, backups, and vulnerability mitigation. This is a demanding, hands-on position.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of Linux administration experience.
• Experience with RHEL/OEL and multiple Linux flavors.
• Knowledge of virtualization, backup and monitoring tools.
• Hands-on with cloud platforms (AWS/OCI/Azure).
• Experience supporting 24x7 operations and on-call duties.

Responsibilities

• Able to work 24X7 shifts on rotational basis for multiple projects.
• Linux server management for on-premises and cloud-based servers.
• Administration of Linux OS (RHEL/OEL Versions 6,7 and 8).
• Troubleshoot and administer all flavors of Linux.
• Linux vulnerability assessment and mitigation.
• Manage HP & Dell servers and Virtual Connect OS; patching and security updates.
• Configure and manage Zabbix monitoring for devices.
• Administer AWS, OCI, and Azure cloud technologies.
• Backup administration with Veritas, Veeam, or VRanger.
• Experience with Oracle virtualization (OVM/OLVM).
• Work with VMware, ESXi, VCenter, VSphere, VMotion, HA, and related upgrades.

Job Title: Linux Administrator

Experience: 8 – 10 Years

Location: Hyderabad, INDIA.

Responsibilities

• Able to work 24X7 shifts on rotational basis for multiple projects.


• Linux server management for both on-premises and cloud-based servers for multiple projects.


• Administration of Linux OS (RHEL/OEL Versions 6,7 and 8)


• Strong Knowledge in installing, configuring, troubleshooting and Administration of all flavors of Linux.


• Linux Vulnerability assessment and Mitigation


• Good knowledge on HP & Dell Servers and Virtual Connect OS, patch, security update and management.


• Managing and configuring Zabbix monitoring for a variety of devices.


• Administration of AWS, OCI, AZURE cloud technologies.


• Hands on Backup Administration - Veritas, Veeam or VRanger would be preferable


• Experience in Oracle Virtualization technologies OVM and OLVM.


• Working knowledge of VMware, VSphere, VCenter, ESXI, VMotion, HA, etc., as well asupgrading VMware tools, VCenter, VSphere, etc.

Required Skills

• Previous working experience as a Linux Administrator for 8 to 12 years


• Knowledge of HPE and Dell hardware (x86_64) and RAID concept


• It is advantageous to have some working knowledge of SAN technologies and scripting languages like shell and perl.


• Excellent communication, team coordination, interpersonal skills and customer care skills are mandatory


• Demonstrated ability to use problem solving techniques such as root cause analysis to resolve issues.


• Certifications in Linux and cloud are an added advantage
