Job summary

Hyatt Hotels Corporation is seeking a Lifeguard to support the Recreation Department and maintain a safe, clean pool environment at our property. You will monitor guest activity, assist with pool-related information, and aid in equipment rentals as needed.

Responsibilities include observing swimmers, enforcing rules, performing rescues and first aid when necessary, and helping with events and maintenance of aquatic facilities. CPR/AED certification is required.

Qualifications

• CPR/AED certification required for this role.

The Lifeguard is a support position to the Recreation Department. Responsibilities include maintaining a safe, clean pool environment. This person must be customer service oriented and be able to provide hotel information as well as assist with recreation rental equipment. The person in this position will observe swimmers, protect life, prevent accidents, enforce regulations and do related work as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Observe the activities of swimmers in and around a public pool to assure that policies, rules, and regulations are observed, and hazards are eliminated or minimized
• Maintain group and individual discipline
• Rescue persons in danger and provide first aid as necessary
• Give accurate information about aquatic facilities and programs. Assist in conducting special events and in the maintenance operation of aquatic facilities
• Other duties as assigned
