Job summary

Ushakiron Movies is seeking a proactive legal professional to provide comprehensive legal guidance to management in India. The role involves coordinating with external advocates and firms, maintaining case records, and liaising with regulatory authorities.

You will ensure compliance, attend courts when needed, and monitor legal developments affecting the organization. The candidate will identify legal risks, verify key deeds and contracts, oversee film agreements, and supervise outsourcing

Responsibilities

• Provide legal guidance and support to management on various aspects.
• Coordinate with external Advocates, Consultants and Legal Firms.
• Maintain records of ongoing and closed legal cases.
• Liaise with Government departments and regulatory authorities.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Attend courts to pursue legal matters as required.
• Follow up with Advocates regarding cases filed by/against group companies.
• Identify legal risks and recommend mitigations.
• Verify documents like Sale/Lease/Gift/Mortgage Deeds and other land transaction deeds.
• Verify film agreements and supervise film-related cases.
• Verify outsourcing agency agreements and terms.
• Monitor regulatory developments and advise management.
• Protect the organization’s intellectual assets and brand reputation.
• Minimize legal exposure and financial risks.
• Maintain legal database and records.
• Ensure policies are legally sound and aligned with business goals.
• Lead and develop the legal team and ensure effective support across the organization.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• To provide legal guidance and support to the Management on various aspects.
• Coordinate with external Advocates, Consultants and Legal Firms.
• Maintain records of on-going and closed legal cases.
• Liasoning with Government departments and regulatory authorities.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and statutory requirements.
• To attend the courts to pursue legal matters as and when required.
• To follow up with the Advocates in respect of the cases filed by the group companies and against group companies.
• Identify legal risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Verification of documents viz Sale Deeds, Lease Deeds, Gift Deeds, Mortgage Deeds, Exchange Deeds other agreements required for the purpose of the transactions of the lands of the organization.
• Verification of films agreements and also supervision of films cases filed by the organizations in the concerned court.
• Verification of outsourcing agencies legal agreements and their terms & conditions.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments, advise Management accordingly.
• Protect the organizations intellectual assets and brand reputation.
• Minimize legal exposure and financial risks to the organization.
• Maintain legal database, documentation and necessary records.
• Ensure policies are legally sound and aligned with the business requirements and objectives.
• Lead and develop the legal team, allocate responsibilities, performance review and ensure effective legal support across the organization
