Job summary

IDfy is seeking a Legal Manager to own the contract lifecycle and provide advisory on commercial and technology law. You will draft, negotiate, and manage MSAs, NDAs, SaaS agreements, and EULAs, while ensuring privacy compliance and regulatory alignment across India, SE Asia, and beyond.

Work closely with Sales, DPO, and external counsel to mitigate risk and drive deals forward, maintaining strong governance and contract standards.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years post-qualification experience in commercial and technology law (in-house preferred)
• LL.B / LL.M from a top-tier institution
• Deep in commercial contracting (MSAs, NDAs, SaaS agreements, EULAs)
• Knowledge of technology law, data privacy, and TMT (telecom/media/tech)
• Ability to negotiate, interpret, and communicate clearly with Sales, DPO, and external counsel
• Lead contracting and advisory work

Responsibilities

• Own all legal documentation with clients, vendors, and third parties.
• Advise on contract status, legal risks, and liabilities; ensure contracts are executed within a reasonable TAT.
• Coordinate legal compliance for company-wide contracts with external counsel as needed.
• Devise risk-mitigation strategies for India and global operations; build internal policies and playbooks.
• Advise on data privacy and cybersecurity issues with the DPO; stay ahead of evolving laws.
• Advise on TMT, technology, and company law/RBI/SEBI/FEMA matters; ensure broad compliance.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders for end-to-end client onboarding and contract management.
• Manage the Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tool as the single source of truth across the org.

We are the Perfect match if you have -

• Bring 2–4 years of post-qualification experience in commercial and technology law - in-house experience preferred (ideally with a TMT practice).
• Hold an LL.B / LL.M from a top-tier institution.
• Have real depth in commercial contracting - you’ve vetted, drafted, and negotiated MSAs, NDAs, SaaS agreements, and EULAs, and you know where the risk hides.
• Know your way around technology law, data privacy, and TMT (technology, media & telecommunications).
• Negotiate and interpret with confidence, and communicate clearly with everyone from Sales to the DPO to external counsel.
• Lead with contracting and advisory.

Here’s what your day would look like...

• Own all legal documentation with clients, vendors, and any third parties on behalf of IDfy.
• Advise on contract status, legal risks, and liabilities across transactions - and make sure every contract is executed within a reasonable TAT.
• Coordinate legal compliance for company-wide contracts, working closely with external legal counsel wherever needed.
• Devise risk-mitigation strategies for doing business in India and globally, and build internal legal policies and playbooks.
• Advise on data privacy and cybersecurity issues affecting the company globally, partnering with management and the DPO to stay ahead of evolving data-protection laws.
• Advise the business on TMT, technology law, and company law / RBI / SEBI / FEMA matters, keeping IDfy compliant on every front.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders for end-to-end client onboarding and contract management.
• Run the entire contract/legal lifecycle end-to-end and own the Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tool, making it the single source of truth across the org.
