Job summary

Meril is seeking a legal professional to draft, review and negotiate a range of commercial agreements, including NDAs, vendor and service contracts, and licensing agreements. The role involves assessing liability, IP, confidentiality and dispute terms while supporting procurement and business teams in contract execution.

The ideal candidate will have experience in life sciences or healthcare-related contracts, strong written and spoken English, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams

• Strong drafting, negotiation and review skills for commercial agreements.
• Sound interpretation of contract terms and risk assessment.
• Excellent written and spoken English; ability to communicate with stakeholders clearly.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements including NDAs, vendor/service, supply/purchase, consultancy and licensing agreements.
• Review terms relating to liability, indemnity, IP, confidentiality, payment, termination and dispute resolution.
• Assess technical and scientific documents from legal and compliance perspectives.
• Support business and procurement teams in negotiations and contract execution.
• Maintain contract records and track renewals, expiries and contractual obligations.
• Assist with legal notices, compliance matters and due diligence as required.

Role & responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements, including NDAs, vendor and service agreements, supply and purchase agreements, consultancy agreements, licensing agreements and hospital agreements.
• Review contractual terms relating to liability, indemnity, intellectual property, confidentiality, payment, termination and dispute resolution.
• Review technical and scientific documents from a legal and compliance perspective.
• Support business and procurement teams in commercial negotiations and contract execution.
• Maintain contract records and track renewals, expiries and contractual obligations.
• Assist with legal notices, compliance matters and legal due diligence as required.

Preferred candidate profile

• Relevant legal experience in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, clinical research or life sciences will be preferred.
• Practical, business-oriented approach to legal matters.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
